Mercedes-Benz 180 D Ponton

Initially, this Mercedes 180 D Ponton was registered with the Daimler-Benz dealership in Duisburg. After just a few months, the Mercedes was transferred to a chemist from the Moers district. It remained with him until 1987!

The next seven years, the 180 was spent in Münster. It was apparently highly valued there, as evidenced by the regular deregistrations in autumn and registrations in spring.

The last deregistration took place in June 2004, by which time the diligent diesel had already served faithfully for 48 years.

After extensive time, parts, and money were invested on the evidently exceptionally good basis, the vehicle was re-registered in December 2024 to a new owner born in 1941!

We were able to take the 180 D in part exchange and are very pleased to have another Ponton that will pass through our hands.

The workshop we trust has performed a service, installed correct exterior mirrors, and mounted new tires.

The little Benz is now ready for at least another 69 years of service!
